In some places, being single comes with more than just loneliness.

People are postponing marriage for longer and longer these days. Nowadays, you don’t generally get married until you’re around 32 — a far cry from previous generations where if you didn’t have a wife, kids and job by the time you were 25 you were either going to be alone for the rest of your life or, alternatively, already dead.

Still, some people have traditions surrounding marriage and, specifically, when you do it. For example, in Denmark, if you’re unmarried by 25, your friends can, and frequently will, cover you in cinnamon.
